The Little Upstarts series of videos and DVDs promotes
proper physical development in infants and toddlers.
Our series—developed by a team of child development
specialists—provides an opportunity for parents and
caregivers to interact physically with infants and toddlers
by combining specific step-by-step exercises and guided
professional instruction with entertaining and interesting
visuals and sounds. We believe that providing an opportunity
for caregivers to interact physically with their babies
produces tremendous physical and cognitive benefits.

Studies have shown that promoting a physically active
lifestyle early on helps to ensure a child’s healthy
development and to awaken an interest in physical activity
that will strengthen as the child grows older. Further research
has shown that physical activity helps babies develop cognitively,
producing intellectually curious children. One study focusing
on several large groups of infants even suggested that babies’
physical development can enhance their social and cognitive
skills: those who were exposed early to organized physical
activity showed higher levels of social and intellectual
development upon entering kindergarten.
The Little Upstarts series isn’t designed to pressure
infants and toddlers into reaching physical milestones more
rapidly. Babies develop at their own pace; our series simply
gives parents and caregivers an opportunity to nurture this
natural development. We provide instructions
for strengthening your baby’s key muscle groups, promoting
eye-hand coordination, building core strength in the neck
and trunk, stimulating the
balance system, developing reaction to movement, and much
more. But Little Upstart is about more than physical development.
The interactive nature of our videos and DVDs provides an
invaluable opportunity for parents and caregivers to bond
with their babies at a very early age, and the imaginative
visuals in our series are sure to stimulate and delight
babies and parents. All of which points to our ultimate
goal: babies moving right from the start!
